World Boxing Council super featherweight champion  Miguel "Alacrán" Berchelt, faces a stern test in defending  his title against Argentina's Jonathan Barros,  on Saturday June 23 in Merida, Yucatan.

 
Barros  from Argentina, has a victory over Miguel "Mickey" Román, who is Berchelt's mandatory challenger. He has 41 victories, 22 of them by KO, just  five losses, only one by knockout, and a draw. For his part, the champion has compiled a record of 33-1 with 29 knockouts and one of the highest KO ratio in the division.
 
Berchelt comes from knocking out Ghanaian Maxwell Awuku in three rounds, who was the late replacement for former champion Cristian Mijares.
