Gilberto "Yaqui" Parra of Sonora has cut his teeth against some decent fighters, but he suffered more than teething problems being TKO'S by Saul "Baby" Juarez, who won the Latin WBC light flyweight title, stopping him at 1:57 of the ninth round.

It was the main fight of an entertaining card presented in Mexico City by All Star Boxing Inc and Sports Productions. Taking the middle ground by managing the middle distance, Baby  accurately counter attacked and softened up the body with some wicked rattling hooks. After the first 4 rounds with scorecards of  40-36, 39-37 and 39-37, in Baby's favour, Parra was obliged to press, trying to overcome a pram full of problems.

After eight rounds the scores marked 79-73, 78-74 and 78-74, still favouring the patient, unflappable and intrepid Baby who was increasingly and systematically punishing the taller leaner Parra. In the ninth round the Referee stopped the fight, because Parra could no longer respond to the Juarez blitz.

Prior to the start of the fight, a moving, emotional and memorable tribute to the everlasting memory of Boxing Greta Don Rafael "La Cobra" Mendoza.
