In the Rodrigo M. Quevedo gymnasium in Chihuahua, Mexico, the Olympic medalist Misael 'Chino' Rodríguez continued his success as a pro, with a pointless second round TKO over hapless, helpless Gerónimo Barbadillo, extending his undefeated record to seven fights.

Barbadillo was utterly out of his depth,  comprehensively outclassed, and totally overmatched, so he flickered, fizzled and went out, being completely wacked.  He was jolted with sharp left leads throughout round one.  Rodriguez followed them up with hammering long rights, backing the Argentinian against  the ropes to punish him.

In the second round  Rodriguez decided to break sweat, and go for an early bath.  A huge right hand chopped and dropped Barbadillo. He barely beat the count, limply rose to lap up  more saturating lightning strike torrents of the same,  and Referee Rocky Burke stopped the hailstorm, which was never going to weathered, at one minute and ten seconds.
