Former world champion Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios breezed a workout for the media, in Los Angeles, aimed directly at his eliminatory World Boxing Council welterweight title fight  against Danny "Swift" Garcia on Saturday, February 17th.

It'll be live on SHOWTIME at the  Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, presented by Premier Boxing Champions. At the end of his training Brandon commented:

"I'm training very hard and I'm ready to go back to the ring. My weight is perfect right now and I'm ready to give the fans a great show.

"This is the kind of fight I wanted, because I know that defeating  a man like Danny Garcia will mean a lot to my career and it will put me on the right path to achieve my goals.

"Danny has a lot of power, he throws hard punches and he's accurate, so we've worked hard to prepare for this moment....and I'm excited.

"I'm going to win, and that's the only thing on my mind.  I'm going to go into this fight with hunger and I won't be defeated again.  I'm going to do everything I have to do to win this fight."

"I feel rejuvenated and more mature than ever.  I've already been on top, I just want to do things right this time so I can go back there and stay there. I've taken  this camp very seriously to be at my very best on February 17th.  I will go out and execute the game plan. "

Tickets for the live event, promoted by Mayweather Promotions and TGB Promotions, are now on sale and available at AXS.com. This is what the fighters had to say on Wednesday at the NGBA boxing gym:
