Undefeated World Boxing Council flyweight champion master blaster Daigo Higa, wasted little time, knocking out two-time world champion Moisés Fuentes in the very first round, earlier today at the Budokan Arena in Naha, Okinawa, Japan.
After a brief contemplative minute of study, Higa swatted, unleashing  his power shots following on from a ramrod unsparing left jab. He drove back the Mexican and allthough Fuentes bravely tried to respond to the attack, a right to the face, checked and visibly hurt him.
Knowing that his body work was finding the mark, Higa stepped up the work rate, trapping the reed like Fuentes against the ropes, with a gale of  combinations, until a powerful right hook to the slats, buckled and dropped him hard to the canvas. Referee Len Koivisto from Canada, who knows a wintery blast when he sees it, did a count, but it was all over there an then at two minutes, thirty two seconds of round one. Higa improves his record to 15-0, all KO`s.
The World Boxing Council continues moving forward to the 2000th title battle of its history. This fight that took place in Japan was the 1991 leading up to it.
